DANCE | INTERSECT

I N T E R S E C T is where connection, relation, creation and transformation converge. The concept creates the ideal environment to experience art as it focusses on the endorsement and development of dance, by enriching and promoting the local and international artists, through a performance collaboration. Creating a space for intersection of culture and enhancing the relationship between artists and countries.

INTER - Mission

Dance Intersect aims to support artists globally. Aiming to create an international platform to showcase dance performances and other choreographic works, as well as organize workshops about choreography and facilitate co-creation of choreographical works between international (social) dance companies and institutions.

To achieve our mission, we have three objectives:

To promote human development of young artists living in a context of social vulnerability through dance;

To create a shared art platform, to promote artists, dance institutions, dance companies, building appreciation and demand for the arts;

To bring in contact international artists, international dance companies and dance institutions in order to build a capacity, to inspire creativity and to bring personal, social and artistic growth.

INTER - Vision

The project works based on Four Pillars Concept: Connection | Relation | Creation | Transformation.

The four pillars complement all spheres of social transformation. According to the writer Mohamed Rabie “Social transformation means the restructuring of all aspect of life: from culture to social relations: from politics to economy: from the way we think to the way we live” (Springer Nature, 2019).

By putting in practice the four pillars of I N T E R S E C T we are allowing social transformation to occur in an instance of social and cultural exchange between people and countries. The concept accommodates a larger view in the world in relation to cultures, communities and globalization.
