Choreographic Works
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
"The ability to talk on a different level than words and still reach beyond the rational is what fascinates me. I am inspired by people’s creativity in manifesting resilience."
Anderson Carvalho’s work is an investigation and translation of his experiences through movement and choreography. During a creative process he experiences creation from as many different angles as possible, crossing boarders and searching for new spaces, forms, sounds, movement and opportunity for the expression of dance.
Anderson is currently exploring the boundaries of new media and dance. His work aims to create a space for dialogue and open people's perspective about life and the world they are in.

Dance and Technology I have been interested in this subject for a quite some time, but only now I decide to explore it in order to understand it and seek ways to establish a dialogue between the technological mediate body, which I refer to projected image and stage screen, and the present physical body. [In] Between [Home] is a multidisciplinary dance performance, that combines different artforms such as dance, sound, moving images, experimenting and seeking for new ways of expression. The performance transposes personal experiences lived in the Favelas of Brazil by creating multiple layers of meaning, moving from the obvious representations to an abstract form.
